Tra'Delai, Tra'Desai

Ah, Desai. Smell all that lovely air.

All these people. Different times, different worlds, different dimensions too, I'd wager. And look at them all. One place, together. Coexisting.

And looks like I'm just in time. It is November, isn't it? Haven't missed it have I?

Tra'delai. Just the thing to clear the head. Like a good cup of tea. Oh, tea. That does sound fantastic. I think I'll get some. Where was that Tea Shop. I know it's around here somewhere.

Now, assuming I'm right, and I usually am, well, almost usually, well... The point is. I am looking for the lovely lady Desai. I have a proposition for you, dear lady. If you can be bothered to drop by and chat with an old friend.

Doctor!

Vacation. What else? The timeline is a little off, it looks like.

[identity profile] ofboeshane.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
Probably your future. Nothing more. I know, I know how it works. I was taught these things, Doctor.

And yes, a Tea Shop. You my be able to find one on your phone.

[identity profile] ofboeshane.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you might smell tea. And isn't fun getting lost.

..It can be. But not in a new city.

Ah. You must be one of those holiday well-wishers I've heard so much about.

[identity profile] ofboeshane.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Not the city. I mean the city to you, Doctor.

[identity profile] johannescabal.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed? If this festival is anything like Halloween, I'll pass.

Dreams come true. As in, they actually come true, wishes granted and the like? Or as in, the things you dream of at night come to life?

[identity profile] johannescabal.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, yes. I suppose if wishful thinking is to be considered better than productivity, holidays are a godsend. Huzzah, etc.

[WHY SUCH A JERK, JOHANNES. I love your Doctor, just wanted to say :3 Ten's my faaavorite next to Nine.]

[identity profile] johannescabal.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Imagination is vital, I'll give you that. And aspirations, without them we'd all lie in bed and die. But holidays foster false hope. It's pathetic. How many people do you think actually reach their dreams? Virtually none. Little Billy realizes that he can't really save the world, so he settles for wishing for a beer every night. How admirable.

And for the rest of us, those who do have ambitions, what good is the holiday, really? It doesn't get us any closer to our goals. If anything, it distracts us.

[identity profile] johannescabal.livejournal.com 2010-11-12 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
What would you do with hope that didn't help? I hardly see the point. If a person can't be realistic about their chances....

I mean you -- no, that'd be a spoiler, I guess.

[identity profile] ofboeshane.livejournal.com 2010-11-13 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Awhile.

[identity profile] ofboeshane.livejournal.com 2010-11-13 07:33 am (UTC)(link)

There's a lot of places to go here, Doctor.
